Step 1: First Strip
- Place starter strip on corner of foundation or first course of block if grouted solid. See Step 3.
- Align the drip edge with the front edge of masonry.

Step 2: Typical Connecting Strip
- Run 3 evenly spaced beads of silicone sealant on 6" wide unmeshed right-hand section of starter strip (at right angle to length).
- Place connecting strip on top of previously caulked area so that the drip edges align.

Step 3: Corners
- Corners will require a 45-degree miter cut.

Step 4: Installation Around Rebar
- If rebar interferes with BlockNet installation simply cut a strip to abut the rebar and set in place.
- Clip off a 45-degree angle on piece remaining and place so it abuts the previously installed strip and avoids the rebar.
- Seal any gaps around rebar with a thin bead of sealant.

Step 5: Vertical Mesh
- Install a 7" x 7" vertical mesh element against the inside face of each core to form a “U” only in the block course directly on top of the drainage strip.
- The vertical element must come in contact with the mesh on the drainage strips. Even a small amount of contact will act as a wick for water to flow to the weep tabs. Clean excess mortar if necessary.

TIP: Apply mortar bed for the outside shell as best possible to minimize the excess mortar bulging over onto the interior mesh.

Step 6: Creating End Dams For Lintels
- BlockNet® can be used over wall openings, bond beams and structured steel members if ends are properly dammed.
- Tear off a short piece of mesh from the end of the drainage strip.
- Place a thick, high, and continuous bead of sealant on the end from the back of the strip to the break of the drip edge.
